Rockustics Outdoor Cherry Bomb Speaker
Rockustics’ Cherry Bomb is a fully weather-proof, direct-burial speaker designed to blend into outdoor landscaping without compromising audio quality. The patented three-way design includes a 5” double-chamber, band-pass subwoofer, a 4” woofer and a 0.75” tweeter all in one compact design. By including the subwoofer in the same cabinet that houses the midrange and tweeter, the Cherry Bomb provides exceptional full-range sound without running into the typical phasing issues you have when installing a sub in a different location from the other speakers in a traditional system. This makes installation much faster, easier, and provides cleaner, more accurate sound once installed.
Ideal for outdoor pool areas, patios and courtyards, residential backyards and outdoor venues, the Cherry Bomb features patented phase-matched technology to create a smoother crossover frequency transition. Designed to be buried, the Cherry Bomb is 26.50” tall, 10.63” in diameter and weighs 15.6 lbs. The small, yet powerful device, boasts 83.0 dB sensitivity and 42 Hz to 22 kHz at -10 dB. The Cherry Bomb is enclosed with a ported subwoofer and sealed midrange and tweeter. The Cherry Bomb is designed and engineered in the USA and includes a 10-year warranty.
Please Note: The CB5 can be used in an 8-ohm configuration and also comes with a 64 watt max. transformer for use in a 70.7 volt configuration. Beginning Q1 2024, all newly-produced CB5 units will come equipped with a new transformer that includes a 64W, 100V tap and a 32W, 70.7V tap (in addition to the standard 64W, 70.7V tap). Please review Page 3 of the Owner’s Manual below for detailed information on the various tap setting configurations and how to determine if your model includes the new transformer.
IMPORTANT: The tap knob on the back-side of the speaker head is fixed in place and is not meant to be rotated. Adjusting the tap setting is done through wiring configuration which is outlined in the Owner's Manual included with each speaker, and linked below.
